I don't think my TL-S' door locks can lock automatically when I drive, but sometimes when I get where I am going and try to get out of the car I find them locked...

Anyway, is there any trick that could be done to set the door locks to lock automatically?

Examples:
In my 96 supercharged Buick Riviera, doors locked when I turned on the engine, unlocked when the car was shifted from Drive to Park. This could be reprogrammed for other events, like lock when transmission shifted to Drive, unlock when it is shifted to Park.
My 98 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP had a very similar setup and settings could be reprogrammed as well
My 99 Chrysler 300M locked all doors automatically past 15mph. I could program it to not do this.
On all these cars (I think), the driver's and front passenger's doors still could be opened from inside even if the locks were engaged. In the Acura, you have to remember to push the unlock button before you can open the door.

 

Would be interested to see if this could be done....havent heard anything about it though??!!

 

There are many alarm systems out there that have the auto lock feature. I haven't heard of any product that you can plug in specifically to auto lock the doors

 

so there is nothing in stock TL's brains that could do this?

 

i dont think you coud do anything to achieve this ... my alarm(viper 550 w/esp) has a feature that you would want . when it is remote started and you get in and putin the key you have to step on the break. that locks the doors automatically. and when i start the car and put it into drive it locks too (pretty sure) and when turn car of it unlocks all doors
