Can d2s bulbs replace our d2r bulbs? Just wondering thanks!!

 

I don't think so. D2S bulbs don't have the ceramic strip that prevents glare.

 

don't think so, d2s is for projector style headlights. d2r is for reflective like we have. d2c is universal for both reflective and projectors.

 

They can.......but not without a little modification. But you really don't want to have D2S in a reflector housing because there will be too much glare and you'll be the douchebag blinding oncoming traffic with ridiculous HID lighting.

But yeah, it doesn't have the metal strip to reduce the glare. You can fit it though by cutting it to fit in the socket of the D2R.

 

i actually have D2S bulbs in my 99 headlights and they dont have anymore glare than the D2R bulbs... ive compared and there is no difference in glare, but i did have to make a little grove in the base of the bulb so it would sit properly.. the inside of the 99-01 headlight have the light blocking part built into the headlight, so it doesnt matter if its a d2s or d2r.
