The mileage is retained as the Type-S gauges are just an overaly of the gauges themselves. You dont replace the components affecting the mileage. No need to program the mileage back in.

It's an easy install too.
Hey, do you like the Type-S gauges at night better or the original gauges? The only difference I can see is the needles are shorter and maybe thiner. I'm thinking about the Type-S gauges since that HIT or whatever it is gauges are never here.
