Camber after lowering

Did anyone install a camber kit after lowering their car.
if you did, where front or rear, and what type of springs do you have?

How many have H&R sport springs and no camber kit?

I used Comptechs on my last TL, and no camber kit was necessary for these springs. They may be necessary for H & R springs, but someone with those springs will have to confirm.

For my H&R Sports on my 02 TL-S. Front camber off -0.7 degrees Rear -1.7 Degrees. The front are still in spec. but the rears are out of spec. For me the inner rear tires would wear a little faster then the rest. But after getting new tires, i decided just to spend the $150 and get the rear camber kit, installed it myself.

Some ppl say you don't need it some say it's optional...but it's up to u. Spending $150 to save you money in time in the long run, it's worth it.

I suggest that you get a camber kit. I had the comptech springs w/o camber kit and it wore out my BRAND NEW MICHELINS (lol) in less than 15k miles.

Get the kit, i think Ingalls makes em? Itll save you 30-40k miles on your tires atleast.

I have Tein SS coilovers riding on 17's. The camber in the rear is still the same but just a little in on the front because I lowered it too much. Raised the car slightly and now the camber is almost stock. No extra wear on my Sumitomo HTR's.

I have H&R sports and they messed up all my tires within 10K. Got the SPC kit all the way around.

I've had Comptechs for about 4 months now, don't need a camber.

i have HR Sports and the rear negative camber is beyond regular spec as well. when i had my wheels aligned, the mechanic says that the camber actually improves handling a bit and that if i switch the tires around every 5k, the tires should last a bit longer. this doesnt remove the camber issue but at least gives me a bit of peace of mind (ie. camber issues are not a big deal and is hyped a bit much in this forum).

H&R Sports with no camber kit here. Everything's fine, even with 2 10"s in the trunk.

I agree with fighting fish. Just rotate your tires more often and it'll be fine, as long as it's not off by like 4 degrees. And yeah, camber obviously does help with handling of the car, just make sure it's at negative.

TLaskin & jspecinspire:

I just got Tein SS installed and I haven't gotten alignment yet, but I dropped mine 1.5" in front and 1" in rear. And I don't know the drop on your car, but compared to yours, do you think I need a camber kit?

Thanks

I got the H&R and the place where i took to get them alligned and installed told me not to bother. It does not improve handing nor is it neccessary. I have put over 30000 on em and no problems. I rotated them once. Check with a tire place.
