Caliper color need help
Rob, IMO either black or silver. Red calpers belong on Porsche's and high end sports cars, not a TL. If one has a Brembo caliper, then I can see red being OK, but not for me.
But that is just my opinion
.
I am still searching for a high heat "metallic grey" paint(gloss). Black is too subtle and silver is too reflective. I never liked how silver looks painted on a roughly surfaced cast metal as our calipers. Too bad our calipers aren't aluminum so that I can polish them up

what about for engine cover?
I have red. I vote for black. that way NOONE can call you rice.
Benefits of having black calipers?
zero maintenance. people wont be able to tell if your caliper was originally black...or if it's brake dust.
If money was no object, id go with black colored calipers (doesnt matter if it was brembo or not) and ultra lightweight gunmetal rims.

i voted for black and its because I dont like anything that strays too far from stock...the red on a TL does not look stock...if you have seen porche turbos or any high end car with red calipers, you would know the finish on those calipers is stock and it looks phat as hell because of the finish...i agree w/edgalang because you couldn't quite tell if you painted them or not and you dont have to keep them clean...btw, has anybody used like a high temperature gloss to make the paint finish on the calipers shine better...i want a glossy look to my calipers if I paint them...Shyne

Like I said to Rob, I think only black will look good on black cars unless if you want to have some sporty looks. But you already have luxury look, though.
Chrome rims, Monitor on headrest......and colored calipers???
OK I will go with Black for Brembos and paint the rears to match. They still look good and the word Brembo is in white. My car is Black so red looked a little weird to me and Silver looks like nothing different from they greyish stock caliper. My rims are gunmetal color and weigh 17 lbs each so I guess edgalang had it to the tee. I had the Luxury look and still plan to keep it for the most part. I want a silent killer because some secrets are best kept.
