CAI vs Comptech Ice Box

hey i was wondering which intake system is better.
Any CAI (ex. AEM, INJEN, etc.)
Or Comptech Ice Box

The price really doesnt matter. I just want the power and torque and the sound.
That's all i want.
Thanx.

I would go with the C.T. ice box. I remember a thread some time ago were the discussion was over this very topic. You might be able to search for it. But most everyone prefered the ice box. The reasons given were that it was specifically manufactered and dyno tuned for our cars and thus had great power results. C.T. also designed it with the ability not to hydro lock-a priceless feature IMO.

Save your money.

Remove the resonator and replace the factory filter with a K&N filter.

Both have the same gains. It boils down to looks and sounds. I love the sound of the AEM personally. Most prefer the icebox it looks stock which is ugly to me and has no sound. Whatever your preference is. I will be honest, the filter for the CAI was a pain to remove and clean on my Civic due to how low it was and the bodykit. I would love to have the AEM for sound and looks but I don't feel like going through the hassle of getting to the filter this go round. It's going to be the icebox for me, I just hate how stock it sounds and looks.

Icebox might give some unnoticeable power gains (like 2-3 whp) but both give good gains. Sound is much more audible on the CAI than the icebox.

when you engine sucks in water... liquids cant be compressed so when the piston comes up...the engine either stalls..or your block cracks

I actually meant unnoticeable because although the icebox might give more power its a few horsepower/torque that you will not be able to notice. In other words if you ran a TLS with and icebox and then one with a CAI the only thing you should really notice is the difference in sound.
