CAD drawing of indiglo gauges

Check it out!

<table cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0 border=0 width=700><tr><td><font face="verdana, arial, helvetica" size="2" >The little boxes are not cut outs but translucent squares - you won't see the lights beneath unless the lights are on. The big cutout on the speedo is an actual cutout - we could get it translucent but I don't think the screen behind it is bright enough to shine through so... its a cutout. Also, notice there is no 4IG logo! Sweet! No "Racing Fuel Only" either, thank god.

Does anyone think we should nix the km/h? I think it'll look good just because its blue.

Any other ideas? Anything you want on there or have questions about? I already noticed the blue line after the 6 on the tach is a little long and they are going to fix that. They may still need to tweak the needle holes a little. I don't see anything else wrong, do you? Now is the time!

Apparently the silver is going to be a little bit lighter than the test set I got, since we got the combo reverse/regular indiglo feature and the transparent cutouts have to let light through. If the silver was too dark light wouldn't shine through properly.

Within 3 weeks we should all have our gauges installed! </font></td></tr></table>

Good job Nate! A couple of observations:

-On our Fuel gauge, the markings are not similar. My gauge has thick solid lines at Full, half & Empty and 8 thinner lines between full/half & half/empty.

-There are a lot more lines on our temp gauge.

-The marking denoting 10mph should be blue instead of red and shorter in length like the 30mph marking. The red lines are on 0/20/40/60/80... and the blue should be on 10/30/50/70...

-Same on the tach, the markings denoting 500 rpm are in blue and the 1000rmp marks are in red. The 500rmp line should be a shorter blue instead of red.

-Also, the redline area on the tach should be smaller, more like the size of the blue lines between the numbers. Doesn't it look weird that the redline area and the rmp markings are the same length?

Attached is a pic of our stock gauges.

DOH!! Damn.. it sure did take a long time for 50 people didn't it??

X3.2CLSx, the only way you are going to be able to get them now is to buy one off someone who doesn't want it anymore or has an extra.. but be prepared to pay more than $80 for it..

Nate,
Are those lines turquoise?? The ones that are curved, and running perpendicular to the red and blue ones?

I think it looks good, but if you're going to make the changes "Just Me" suggested, you ought to change one more thing. The 10/30/50,etc. mark should be the same length as the 20/40/60 marks. That is the way it is on our current gauges. Plus, that will allow those marks to stick out a little better than just being thicker than the 5 mph marks.

On the fuel gauge they could mark it at every 1/8th if they cannot fit all of the marks of our current gauges.

Neither of these items are a huge deal, but if it is easy to change, they would be nice to have. If it is going to cost another 3 months of waiting, just get'em like they are drawn

Thanks a lot for the update.

Thanks for the feedback guys! Wow Just Me, great eye! I forwarded all the comments (from both Just Me and scole) to 4IG and we'll see if they can't get those changes made and another pic taken for us.

Those lines are blue or "green". You can change them by pressing a button. However, the "green" is really turquoise (and pretty much sucks) so I'd just leave it set to blue. Oh, and the line isn't too visible durign the day. Observe here, here, and here.

Thanks for the update Nate. I think I speak for everyone one on the list when I say that we were getting pretty frustrated with all of the time it's been taking, but it's going to be so worth the wait!!! Hopefully we won't have to wait much longer.
thanks again,
peter.
