c/f trim

There was carbon fiber trim posted here a while ago and I was wondering if it's still for sale?

i think snook was going to develop some but the stock laminate trim pieces are not for sale separately from the dealer (you must buy the entire door panels)...so if you wanted cf overlays, you had to remove your stocks (which is a pain) and send them in.

There's a company called Beneviento (i think thats the right spelling) that makes a CF interior kit for the TL's. I have one for my TL-S - 31 pieces, real carbon fiber(not the look-a-like). Looks realy nice and did the install myself. The only thing is that it does not cover the panels on the doors or the panels for the center console. I'll try to post pics soon. Digital cam has been on the fritz plus the car is kinda dirty with all this snow.

I never had the optional interior trim to begin with, so i didn't have to remove anything. The CF kit is basically 3M adhesive on the back. Just had to clean the surface of the car, heat up the CF piece with a hairdryer and place it on. Took me about 90 minutes to do all 31 pieces. Hopefully, I'll be able to take some pics today since i'm off and it's kinda nice out.

Not really.

Well I have CF on the center console, gauge bezel (speedometer) and all 4 doors. I got it from Tim. He did it for me as a trade favor. He was trying to get it for you guys, but it was too expansive and too much hasle. I think he told me that all 7 pieces was like $400 or like $50 a piece. It was professionaly done, meaning very nice work. I love how it looks. If you are still interested e-mail tim at sales@autocarparts.com

OK, finally took some pics of my CF interior kit. Like I said before, the kit included 31 pieces. There are pieces to cover all 4 door handles, cub holder in rear seat, sunglass holder, ash trays in rear doors, plus the pieces i have pics of.

Bitium, where did you get the emblem?? I always wanted to put one over the acura imprint on the steering wheel....can you tell me how you installed it and where you got it??? I have a 99TL just like you, Just love everything you did with your interior. Its not just those emblem you can buy that you stick on the outside is it (the hard plastic kind)??? It looks to me like its the soft plastic kind like in 2002+ TLs.

the cf kit is not bad, i like, but i think it would clash with the stock trim. do they also make a kit for the nav model?

StanMan,
They do make the same kit for the nav and actually hae color choices for carbon fiber including blue/black CF. It does clash a little with the stock blackwood, but i like it better than having an all blackwood kit or nothing at all. Now the CF engine cover and CF hood would compliment the interior kit nicely. :p

First you will need to buy the gauge bezel which is one of the acura OEM accesories,m it only comes in wood. Then you do the same thing I did for my doors and center panels. That is how I did it.

It is the plastic kind. Is from the front of a 95 integra I think. It only comes in that color (from picture) It is the only emblem that I found that would fit on our steering wheel. It looks really good. I got it from acura dealer, for $30, but they go for like $45.
