Yep, at 72,980 miles on my 2000 TL... The transmission has said goodbye... Dropped her off this mornin and will get her back in a week with a new tranny... Ah, we had good times together, now I get to break in another tranny...
Life isn't too bad, I got an '04 TL to drive till my car is done...

Interesting...mileage makes me think it is totally unrelated to the issue that more current (5-spd) TL owners are having.
My neighbor's EXV6 coupe (98?) had the tranny go at about the same mileage. He had it replaced under his extended warranty.

OMIGOD - My 2001 TL has 70K miles on it.
If it goes I hope it does it before the 100K warranty has expired.
Did your trans go out all-together or will you still able to drive it?

Mine was slowly going out over this past week... On the way to take it to dealer 3rd and 4th were pretty much totally gone... But I still had 1st 2nd and 5th... And this car has been taken well care of even before I got it so it was kinda weird it just went out... Thank god for the extended warranty...

Funny, there was someone in the paper complaining that there new Windstar that needed repairs, no rental was allowed. Acura however as well as my Honda Sealer always provided me with a car. Bet an Integra was looking good to the Windstar ownwer. Of course you buy a Ford, you deserve it.

If my tranny hesisitates for a sec when I put into D5, and it jerks that i can easily feel it between 2nd to 3rd gears.
Can that be a tranny? or am just paranoid?
