Bye Bye 2nd Gen!

And so the time has arrived. I traded in my TL-S for an 06 TL 6spd.

Hehe, I was too happy enjoying the car, that I didn't take a pix of it yet. Don't worry. I'll get it up tonight. Just say I have a VERY big grin on my face. Such a smooth ass ride. 06 with 10k miles.

I was trying to keep the S2K projectors, but couldn't find a replacement headlight. And I didn't want the 06 TL to be sold, so I said fuck it.

^they weren't going to hold the car for you while you took them out?

that's pretty low baller of the dealer no?

I didn't think of it. Ohh well. I have to say tho, the sound system in the 3g, isn't as good as the 2nd. And 3g doesn't have a compartment for sunglasses!

CONGRATULATIONS! although it would be far from my choice of a next car, it definitely is a huge upgrade!

Have fun with the 3g. I drove the loaner one from my Acura and I must admit its a pretty good ride. But I like the 2nd gen body style. Its has the classic sedan body lines. Plus the mods are a lot cheaper on the 2nd gen. <--- can you hear the jealousy! haha. Have fun bro!

exactamundo. they really didn't care about my car quite honestly. took a look at it and said, "Shit.... it's lowered, rim's black, tint." We wont be able to resell this on our lot. It'll be wholesale."

I said, I can careless what you do with it, just pay take my trade in. lol.

haha, i wish. I still owed 5g's on my 2nd Gen. They pretty much paid off the car. I know I could have gotten more for it, but I didn't want to go through the hassel of trying to sell the car myself. Also, I didn't want the car to be sold by the time I did sell my 2G, so I said fuck it! Take this off my hands and pay off my loan.

good luck, the dealer took your trade even with the blacked out after market headlights and grill? i am just curious about things like that, with after market appearance similar to you i am wondering if the dealer would take a trade on my car? just being curious. good luck again with the 6speed
