I did search on a buzzing noise that I hear everytime I start my car and place it in gear. It only buzzes for about a second then stops. Usually as I reverse out of the garage then put it in drive, it buzzes. I have a '03 TL-S and the search I did was for an older TL. It said that it's the ABS system. Does anyone who has a '02 or '03 TL-S have this same noise? I just want to be sure it's the ABS making this sound and that it's normal. Thanks.

 

Its the ABS, don't worry about it. If you read your manual it mentions it too. It happens twice, once when you first start the car and put it in gear and once again around 5mph.

 

Really, I always thought that was the motor mounts coming to pressure...guess I was wrong.

 

A popping sound immediately on start-up is usually indicative of the motor mounts. He's talking about a buzzing sound once the car begins to move, which is the ABS self-test. Just about every car with ABS does this when first moving.

 

wut about the noise i get when i turn off or on the air conditioner.
its like someone twists open a can and it pops open or closed. its werid. it doesnt bother me to much. but passengers ask me wut was that.. LOL somehting with the compressor i guess.

 

That noise is b/c of your CAI. When the compressor starts up the engine sucks in more air and you can hear it b/c of your CAI....
