Buying used Comptech Supercharger.
I am in the process of buying a used Comptech Supercharger from AcuraCL1. The kit has 100 miles on it but the pulley is bent. It is being replaced by comptech and is going to be converted for the TL-CL type S since it was made for the TL-P. The kit includes the Supercharger, CT icebox, battery, guage pod pillar, and CT tranny cooler. I made this thread to see how much you guys would pay for this. We are trying to figure out a price. ALL COMMENTS ARE WELCOME. Thanks

Mrsteve, the kit was for an accord, but modified for a TL-P. The supercharger was on a TLP show car. My friend decided to drive his TL one day, and someone hit him and totalled the car. The pulley ended up just a little bent. Comptech is going to be replacing the pulley and covertering the kit to a CLS and replacing all of the hardware and making sure everything is ok with it. So basically the kit has 100 miles on it, and the hardware will be brand new since Comptehc is going to be replacing it.

well, if i remember correctly, that item sold for $1000 originally in the black market. Look for user name SC TL, or BLOWN TL. One of those...I believe he told me CT was charging $500 to restore it to perfect condition. I didnt bite, because I personally would spend a little more and buy something that has never failed. IE, this one woulda costed me about $1600 shipped, while MrSteves was like $2300. I would rather pay more for piece of mind. BTW, this is all IMO.
PS-did you ever get the navi climate control working in your non nav? I was thinking about it, and you would have no place to see how the air is blowing

njzprettyboy, that is correct. I got the supercharger from my friend Blown TL. But I did not pay $1000 for it. He had other people ahead of me, so I offered more plus offered to pick it up from him, which is about 8 hours from me. So it costed me about $1500 to get the kit. The only thing that was wrong with the kit was that the pulley was bent. I talked with Comptech and to replace the pulley and change out all of the hardware, convert the kit to a CLS, it would cost me about $600 to $700 not including shipping which was a little more than $200. The kit did not come with a CT transmission cooler and i am including a brand new one from Comptech, and I am including my mugen mods, gauge pod pillar, brand new spark plugs from Comptech. So out of my pocket cost was over $2700. I am not trying to make any proffit. I just want to sell, because I need the money for my stereo that is going in the car before my audio sponsors drop me.

It's pretty impossible to fuck up the supercharger itself during the install. It most likely was still in good condition. However, that kid can't be trusted.

So your saying $2700 is a good price? Ill have to see how much my friend can get a new one for through comptech since he gets a discount. I remember him telling me low low 3's, but I have to check.
