busted remote *PICS*

I lost my keys yesterday. this morning i went outside and seen a blue light on, it was from my light i have on my keychain. it had been in snow, someone ran over it, it was soaked in water, and in the cold for at least 10 hours. i picked it up, let it dry, and taped it together for the hell of it. to my surprise, it works!!! hehe now i dont have to spend lots of $$$ on replacing it.

I guess the remote was made in Japan.

You sure are lucky ... or live in a good neighborhood. I'm surprised nobody else found them and took your car.

go on ebay, you can usually pick up a new one for around $25-30

you can program it yourself also

it's not hard at all, but it's a lot of little steps that have to be done correctly to get it to work

do a search, instructions were posted on here many times (but they haven't made the FAQ section)

one more thing, I believe that you can only have 2 remotes programmed to the car at one time. if you activate one it may deactivate another.... I think I remember reading that, don't know if it's true or not though

I'll save you a few minutes....

(and it was up to 3 remotes at a time, not 2)

My wife lost the key fob for my Accord which looks exactly like yours with a Honda imprint instead. Bought a new one for $75 from the dealer. It was easy to program, and the remote that was not lost had its code changed @ the same time.
