bust the tranny while racing

What if you were at 99k, - you paid for the 100k warranty,
and your tranny hasn't busted yet, would it be good to "bust" the tranny, to get the most out of your warranty? I hear that most tls have to get their tranny replaced a little bit before 100k, but not everyone

and

how would you do it, drop it to 2nd gear when going 100 mph using ss?

First - nice avatar.

Second - you cannot shift into an "inappropriate" gear using SS. The computer will deny it.

Third - Not all TL-S's have tranny problems.

Stop trying to scheme against Honda/Acura and get a legit checkup. If you're at 100k with no problems, most likely you don't have to worry about anything.

Your brilliant idea can also damage other driveline components besides the tranny. As the saying goes; If it ain't broke don't fvck with it.

thats what most people do.. neutral drop the trans over and over until it breaks to get "most" out of their warranty.

it's retarded, especially for me since im the one who has to replace them every godamn day. it's so annoying how many i replace and how many i have to test-drive throughly because some people are just plain stupid.

so go ahead and do what your heart desires.
I can see replacing them for someone when the trans. actually has a malfunction for no apparent reason. That's one thing, but you bozo's who purposely kill the trans. to get free stuff are straight up retarded.

no respect from me.

If you're going to commit fraud don't post this sort of stuff on a public forum.

just to confirm the computer will not let drop to a lower gear than the trans/engine can handle on my tl-s either. cant say about the tl-p but I accidently tried to downshift on the highway to 2nd and the number just flashes and stays in the correct gear.

what a brilliant idea....

so from now on you should do 7000rpm on SS until the oil is burnt and the tranny dies, then you will get your wish

But wouldn't you guys agree that Acura should have done better with the tranny issue? - read this thread -
