Exclamation Bumpy Ride in New TL?

I just got my 00 TL and I notice it shakes slightly and drives a bit rough, meaning I can really feel the bumps in the road- BUT the tires, especially the front ones, are almost bald on tread and one of them was going flat until I sealed it, plus I don't think they have been properly balanced or rotated, much less a front end alignement in a while- so is this likely the reason for the rougher than usual ride and slight shake?

Thanks,
Joe

most likely it is contributing to some of ur rough ride for sure, get some proper tires put on correctly and see how it is than, also take in2 consideration the car is not brand new anymore so it isnt as smooth as a new one.

I am going to order new Yokohama Avid H4 tires for my TL, has anyone had any experience with them? I need them more for a smooth quiet ride than I do high performance.

I recently replaced my tires on my 2002 TL after 60,000 miles and the ride and the quietness was greatly improved.

About the steering wheel shaking problem, it might be tire balance problem. Make sure to re-balance all 4 tires.

Yeah, I think the tires are unbalanced because there is a definate shake when I brake.

Don't forget to check the PSI in each tire. Under- or Over-inflated tires will also cause you some problems.
