Has anyone put a new front bumper on their Silver TL and not using their factory bumper? Also, does anyone have a pic of a silver 99-01 with the full nose mask? I've got a ding someone put in my bumper (they pulled to close in a parking lot), but the good thing is the gap is ok, I just don't want to repait it.

 

I just can't see why anyone whould replace their pefectly good factory bumber w/a new front bumber

except if they were doing it because of license plate holes... but then would you want license plate holes in it?

I have two bumpers for my car, one I call me winter bumper and the other one is my show bumper. I can scratch the hell outta the old one and not worry bout it!

I was thinking that if someone bought an aftermarket bumper, like the Value Sports bumper.... In which case they wouldn't be using their factory anymore... What I'd really like to see is a picture of the car with the full nose mask on, I think it's only like $180 bucks, which has got to be cheaper than a bumper. I may just go with that, who knows, I haven't even tried buffing yet. One thing I did notice through this whole thing is that those little spots that the fog lights would go, that is one single molded in piece that is just masked off when it's painted. What ticks me off is that they didn't do a very good job masking it on my car on the passanger side. If I hadn't have gotten bumped into I would be asking Acura to replace the bumper since they very well can't unpaint it in that spot. We shall see. I may order the mask, put the mask on, then complain, who knows. I'm also going to have to see who pays to fix a factory defect, if Acura does, then cool, if the dealer does, then I won't complain. We'll see.

Nope, I don't have one and have not intention ever going to get one. I believe the nose mask will distort the good look of the TL.

I have 2 bumpers for my car too!! one is on my car and another one is sitting in my garage!! anyone in the Seattle area wants to buy my stock (garage one?)

 

I ordered one and it should be here sometime next week. I'm interested to see how it looks too, saw this 97/98 CL with one and the fit was awful. I hope its not the same on mine.

And its not going to be a full time mask...
