Bug/ Tar Removal

I have a 00 TL White Diamond Pearl- I got the car washed today and noticed a lot of smashed bugs on the front bumper and air dam, as well as a lot of small tar spots on the lower doors/ rocker panels. To clean them, I used Pro Honda Spray Cleaner and Polish- worked like a charm without leaving a brown residue or streaking the tar. I figured you need an organic solvent to remove bugs and tar, and this spray leaves a nice clean finish as well. Abrasives are probably the worst to use for this type of work. Obviously, this will not replace a good detailing job, but it will get rid of the dead bugs on the front mask without a lot of work. Just keep reapplying after cleaning, and it will soften the bugs and tar, allowing for easy removal. I hope this helps. The cleaner is sold by Honda Motorcycle dealers for ~ $ 6 for a 14 oz. spray can. I also use this on my motorcycle (both painted and clear surfaces- windshield), and it works very well and is also gentle on the paint. It doesn't discolor flat plastic/ rubber surfaces either.
