buffer.
buffer.
i bought this 6in ryobi orbital buffer..
if you enjoy keeping your car clean(waxed..i mean)..
this is a great tool.
took all the work out of applying and removing wax.
and you can't hurt the paint...
i don't car if you sit onthe thing in one spot for half anhour!...
it doesn't really save up whole lotta time...
but it saves your wrists and hands...
and does a really nice job...and it's fool proof.
my2cents.

Yeah, those buffers are great. I have a waxmaster I bought for my boat from BOAT-US and it's great on the car. I know the gelcoat on a boat is a lot more fragile than a car, so using it on the car is really safe. Like you said, it would be almost impossible to damage the car with the buffer, and it makes waxing 95% easier.
Cheers!

6in buffer
be careful - it can harm the clearcoat - terry cloth can be aggresive in cutting. You run the risk of swirl marks. If you can see if you can get a 6" foam bonnet for wax application and a 6" microfiber bonnet for removal. If you can't then make sure you keep your terry bonnets clean. Never re-use them and never mix products on the applicator bonnet (the plastic backed one).
I had a wen 10" that I used - it came with one application and two removal bonnets all terry cloth and even keeping em clean, I still got swirl marks.
just some FYI for wax application foam is best (be sure it is an application bonnet as there are foam cutting pads but they will say cutting, polishing or application). For removal nothing beats Microfiber towels (don't go cheap on em) Target sells some that are really good (comes with two towels and one disco looking thing - the shiny one is for interior) for about 6 bucks...
