Brown stains!

After parking a several times in those indoor parking lots, my car is starting to have some brown looking stains that I can't get off.

I've heard that wax can take off a lot of these spots off, any suggestions?

I'm not sure what kinds of brown stains you're talking about, but I'm pretty sure you don't want to use wax on 'em. You'd be better off "claying" your car with a clay bar.

I'm also a Zaino user and highly recommend their products, too.

Later,

V.

My brown stains were from some type of oil, i think motor oil, that some how dripped onto my hood and left a stain... first it was blue and then after a few days it turned burn. Nothing could get rid of it for me.

GOO Gone

makes an automotive product - it will probably eat off the wax too but should get rid of the brown stain -

Alternatives to Zaino - Platinum Ultimate Paint Protectant (I use and love) and Poorboy's EX (another sealant I use on and off).

I had the same problem in the past.

These brown stains are often the results of water infiltration
in the concrete that comes in contact with the steel reinforcement
rods who then start to rust and finally mix with the cement powder.

At the end of this you will get this highly corrosive liquid (because
of the cement powder) that will literally eat your paint if not rinse
within a very short time. (Hours not days...)
But who look for these when leaving an indoor parking lot...

I had this problem in my own parking lot, I've made the connection
when looking on the floor of my parking space, there when some
brown stains on the floor, then look at my car where the spots
were and bingo!

Nothing was able to take it off completely or if so the clear coat
remained damaged. To make a long story short the owner insurance
tried a few solutions, but at the end they had no other
choice but to go with a paint job...

I just hope you will be able to avoid this for yourself.
But remember that the owner of these parking lots are
responsible for these type of damage.
