Take a look at these pictures. It looks like the 2nd clip from the back on the drivers side is missing. They guy selling it to me says its suppose to be like that, that they are screw holes and its the only "clip" thats different from the others. I'm pretty sure someone is trying to luy to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Yup. The second tab on the driver side is broken. The lip kit is supposed to be held on with bolts and nuts, and not self tapping screws.

That being said, I honestly don't think the broken tab will make a difference difference. Just put self tapping screws there and you'll be fine.

Although the paint job on the kit seems to be suffering a bit.

 

I don't even own a 2nd GEN and I can tell by looking at that - start with your 2nd pic......... clip far left is the same exact clip as the one that is missing. The two holes are what holds the clip the same as clip #1.....

 

Seller is asking 175 shipped for it. Whatcha think, should I jump on it? Does it look like its in OK condition to you guys? I have to have it repainted white.

Call around to salvage yards, ebay

Use this to locate salvage yards with TLs and then call them up and ask if they have the lip

$175 shipped for that... hell no.... look around and i'm sure you find a better deal or atleast a better condition for that lip... have you looked on ebay... i got mine there for i think $150 shipped new...

 

I bought mine for 126 shipped on ebay, brand new and painted. Don't think the seller has front lips anymore. But u can check...his username is magautoparts. Good Luck.

 

That is a great place to get lips from, im not sure he has anymore or the capability to get more, but check every so often

 

It's gotta be painted white anyway, so a professional paint job at the body shop and that lip will be in new condition. It's just plastic after all.
