Rear Sub

I have seen to post where the stock rear sub was replaced by a kicker sub, but I was wondering if anyone has done this recently. The sub used in the thread is sort of hard to find and I am having a hard time find a free air sub that is also shallow mount. If anyone can help, that would be great. I am going to make this my summer project.

Thanks ahead of time.

Yea man, let us know how it sounds over stock. If its not that much better I will just go with one 12. But that factory look is what I am really going after.

I have one and have been running for years.
It sounds alot better than stock but it won't hit as hard as a sealed or ported box. Since I have my son sits at the back most of the time, I don't really need a sub that hits hard.
The upgrade definately saves a lot of trunk space and weight (beside the custom enclosure) compare to putting another sub box.

As far a variety, there are a few more shalow free-air subs out there. Whether the design would fit the stock position, you would need to some research. I believe Blaupunkt (spelling) just came out with a new version of shallow sub. The web site does not have enough detail of the specification yet but you could check it out.

Cheers !!!

Quick question: I heard from one guy in another thread that it's possible to set up a 10" in the back with the stock stereo still and the computer untainted with the steering wheel buttons still working. Does anyone else know if this is possible to do?
