i was drivng home last night and made a right turn at about 7 mph when i heard a loud bang...a block later i got into my driveway and grabbed a flashlight and noticed the left rear vertical (i think its the tie rod) was broken at the weld. has anyone else had this happen?

Its is a really skinny vertical rid about 4 inches in length and it broke at the bottom weld. THe weld looked like it had rust on it, so i am assuming it was a bad weld...i guess off to the dealer in the morning.

 

ok i think it was actually the end link.....is this a warranty issue. BTW, i dont race my car and it only has 28,000 miles on it in three years.
