Breaks are crap

I have a 00 with 89K on it and my car massively shakes when I break and in the mornings when its cold my break light comes on. So basically I been told its my rotors. Now I was wondering do you think I should replaced them or just get them refernished? Also I was wondering if you guys new of any place nationally that would cover that for cheap? Also I do have the extanted warranty t0 100K but acura wouldnt cover that would they?

it shouldnt cost more than 20 bucks a rotor for resurfacing, but i wouldnt do it with 89k on em, prolly not enough meat on them at this point. shop around, im sure you'll find some at a reasonable price.

brakes are really easy, the only thing tricky on our brakes is the little set screw on each rotor that i ended up drilling out...other than that, piece of cake!

Hm maybe I should try it I could order it online for cheap but I just thought of something as for as the rotors having 89K miles on them im not sure about that I mean I bought the car used so it could have been replaced at one time but I doubt it so I probably will get new ones.

The rotors have to be a cetain thickness for them to be able to be resurfaced. The person doing the resurfacing uses a micrometer to determine if it's thick enough. If its not, then you have to buy new ones.

Yeah I recommend getting some nice stuff and doing it yourself. If you search a member here did a great writeup fn it in PDF format. Its not too bad at all worst part by far for me was the notorious two little screws. I had to drill them out and the drill ran on battery and it pretty much drained the battery after a minute or two so we had to keep charging the battery. It took a really long time. If I had to do it again I would make sure I had a drill that plugged into the wall.
