i broke it in at 1000... and then drove for a little more aggressive for another 500 without having the vtec kick in... after i did all that, then i started to use the SS and always getting the vtec to kick in for my last 500... i know it sounds crazy braking in for 2000 but in the long run it might be good.... all you really need is 1000 to do it and no hard revs.... i just decide to do a little more.....

I didn't kick it in until I had 700+ miles on the car. I thought it best to wait until the break in period was over...she sure does pull once it's kicked in though!

I've been trying not to floor it.
I have taken the TLS on the highway and cruised at about 2000 rpm (~80 MPH).
In stop and go traffic I'll hit as high as about 3500 - 4000 rpm in auto mode.
I've hit 5000 once in ss mode by accident.
But for the most part I've taken it easy.
I do hear a quiet whining sound - I think it is coming from the tranny but I suspect that that is normal.
Any thoughts ?
