Good point about the MDX plant. Goes along with the RWD idea. Would be nice.

I think they want to keep up with the lexus/infiniti/bmw with the rear wheel....it might even make it awd

I cannot believe that they are changing the model so quickly. I guess that the current model will run to the 2003 model and the 2004 model will debut in August 2003?

Also, it is consistant with Hondas 5 year plan, as the model is being changed just prior to 5 years.

That's a really good point about the MDX plant..... I'd say AWD is a lot more likely than RWD...

So I get another year before my TL-P is "obsolete". I hope the new one isn't bugly. Can't wait to see pictures!

And I agree with Crzy Acura, the RL SERIOUSLY needs updating. I used the "Internet Wayback Machine" to look back at Acura's website in 1996 and discovered, much to my horror, that the RL hasn't been significantly updated since then! No wonder it's a slow seller! Well, that and the underpowered engine...

???....The RL was introduced in 96, which still makes it seriously outdated, but it wasnt around in 93-94, it was the Legend then....and what is this Internet Wayback Machine?

It still doesn't look that different. Apologies, I went back and looked, it was '96. The "Internet Wayback Machine" is an Internet archive based at www.archive.org . Once there, you type in the name of a website (e.g. www.acura.com) and the archive fetches the iterations of the site over the ages. In Acura's case, its website, if memory serves, started in 1996.
