Breaking in Brakes

What do we have to do/don't to properly break in new brake rotors and pads?

Just tke it easy and try not to high pressure stop from high speeds for the first 300-400 miles. This "seats" the pads to the rotors and calipers and will run the pads & rotors through some heat cycles. This helps prevent the pads from "glazing" and not providing as much grip on the rotors. After 500 miles go ahead and stand on 'em!

You might want to read this. It discusses how to break in new brake pads and rotors.
