Question Break-in period still needed?

When I lease my new TL-S I expect to drive down to South Florida, about 1,300 road miles from NYC. Question is driving behavior for new vehicle, i.e., no sudden acceleration, no over 60 MPH, et al? Is break-in period still necessary for today's cars, or is this just a 1970's engineering necessity? Your recommendations?

Look in your owners manual. I think it says something in there. I know GMC still suggests one.

break-in is always a good idea for any car
mechanical things need to smooth out and get used to their working environment, so it's always good to take it easy for the first few hundred miles, good luck

I think if there's a problem with your car, it will show up whether you break it in or not. Plus if you are going to lease it and not buy it off when the lease is up, why even bother worrying so much. Just don't beat the new thing up and be sensible. Just enjoy it, in other words.
