Break in & First Oil Change...
I remember reading somewhere on this forum before regarding how a brand new TL requires a break-in period. Anyone here knows the correct amount of miles required for to break-in the vehicle before I start stepping on it? Also, isn't it a bit redundant since chances are when you pick up the car, it has already been driven by others who test drove the car?
2nd, when should I do my first oil change? I've heard that the first oil change should be changed at 5000 miles. Can any1 comfirm this?

Do yourself a favor and read the owner's manual. It gives the break in period of 600 miles. Just take is easy.
Don't change the oil until 7500 unless you regularly drive under "severe" conditions. The manual explains that.
There is a special break in oil that is in your new engine. If you take it out too soon you won't break the engine in properly and damage it. I got this from a new owner's orientation at my dealer last month.
I know that you are excited about your beautiful new car. Take a breath and enjoy it and don't worry about over-maintaining it. These newer cars don't need that amount of maintenance that your previous cars might have needed.
