Question Brakes Question......

I have about 65,000 miles on my '99 TL, and I am having vibration problems (probably warped rotors) with my brakes. My question is if I have the rotors turned, can I still put a set of Metal Maters Pads on?

I wouldn't see why not, unless your "warp" is really severe!

have you changed your rotors yet? I would order a set of cross drilled or slotted and put on some metal masters.. which is what im gonna do soon..

I have close to 48K miles on my 99TL and it is beginning to vibrate also. Is it a warped rotor? Or can I just get a new front brake pads? What can it be???

Have any of you guys had any work done to the rotors? With that many miles i would just invest in a new set. Tim sells some nice slotted ones on autocarparts.com.

If you do not want to spend money on a new set of rotors, you can have your stock rotors resurfaced then throw on a set of Metal Master. Each rotor has to have a minimum thickness for it to dissipate heat effectively. If your mechanic resurfaces too much off your rotor (pass the minimum thickness) then it will create vibration easily with repeated use of the brake pedal.
