HI, Sorry for the noob question but just want to be clear of things

I have a few questions about brakes becauze i would like to change my factory brakes on my tl to aftermarket ones- the rotors and brake pads i mean

1. Which ones Crossdrilled? Dimpled? Slotted? and pads Ebc greenstuff? Axiss ceramic ones? i just want to have much better stopping power what setup should i go with, tell me whats good and whats bad.
2. Which rotors should i buy, i see a whole lot of them on ebay does brand matter? is there any website that sells the good ones?
3.. I have a 99 tl do i have to modify anything to put the rotors in or is it just take the old ones out and put the new ones in?
4. Do people usually have problems with crossdrilled, dimpled, or slotted rotors? because i heard that they crack is this true....
