TL's are known for warped rotors, so i suggest you save yourself the headache and get some aftermarket rotors and pads. i dont know if your rotors are warped yet, but hope this helps.

DO NOT resurface the rotors... it will just accelerate the rotor warping. Wait till they warp, then replace them with one of the aftermarket kits. i went with Rotora, cheaper than the OEM's and i have not been able to warp them, and ive tried
unless you have all the $$$ in the world, then you can go the Brembo route.

Off topic (heh) just thought you guys might wanna know. About 3 months ago when my car went in for a sunroof switch, i also told them the brakes were (pulsating) (total BS i just wanted them to check the brakes to see if they were worn) (BTW my tl's brakes are so smooth even braking at 100 it's not even funny) anyways, i told them that and when i picked up my car they told me they cut the rotors and put two brand new brake pads in the front....i was like holy crap....thanks acura. Just thought it was an interesting story. (i never thought i'd actually GET SOMETHING out of a dealership). -Shawn

Cheap ass rotors = cracking (on drilled) serious rusting, or warpage.
Again, as far as im aware, the only direct fitment replacement that no one here has ever had a problem with is the Rotora's.
If you buy direct from Rotora, the front rotors are $180 i think...

but get them from Velocity Resources in Orlando
http://www.velocityresources.com
their prices are better and the guys there are great.
no need to replace rear OEM rotors, just use better pads on the back. Its almost impossible to warp the rear rotors.

mushy brakes
this is also off topic but maybe you guys can help me. I took my 02 TLS into the dealer a couple weeks back and complained of mushy/spoungy brakes and they told me I needed new pads, the rotors turned, and they found air in my lines....300 bucks later and I dont notice anything different. The brakes only pick up half way down the path of the brake pedal. I'm at a loss for what to do to get it right. I drive a lot of different cars and none of them have such weak feeling brakes as my acura has. the lexus and mercedes brakes take half the physical pressure of my foot to get the same effect out of the brakes. Ideas?
Thanks.
Thanks.
