^^^if you dont hear any metal scraping when braking your pretty much safe, theres a pin on the pad to let you know when they are getting low

what was it in the shop for? they may of had to do work on the brakes and they didnt bleed it correctly and theres air in the lines, check the brake fluid level

abs activating? That's weird though, it should only really activate during hard stops and braking on slippery surfaces. Maybe an expert can chime in....

is it actual ABS operation? or just worn out pad feel?
when the pads are low the caliper has to extend farther,,,doesnt like that

remove wheel and caliper to inspect properly

never trust the metal arm noise maker to signal low pads
It can get bent away,or missing, or you dont hear it
Metal on metal noise means you went past brake pad,,,
and are now experimenting with an advanced Flintstones system = no brakes!!
will need rotors to go with the new pads~

you could have a wheel speed sensor bad..wire torn loose etc--
was there front crash damage?
take it back to the shop and tell them its not right
those places dont test drive,,like a repair shop would

If brake bleed was done, they may not be aware of the special TL order= LF RF RR LR

sounds like you need rear rotors, this should solve your problem... if your steering wheel is shaking while applying the brakes, you may need front rotors too...

My car was in the shop because it was side swiped on a side street. only rear quarter panel damage and rear bumper. No front damage. I changed my
front brakes 2 months ago but never changed my rotors (front + rear) since i bought the car 13 months ago

they may be the originals then,,front rotors being well known for shake as they age

Most of us go aftermarket and upgrade to performance rotors and pads,
if you enjoy driving in a spirited manner

you may need to bleed the brakes now, start with that and inspecting the parts.
Did you lube the caliper pins and the slider tab parts?
torque is spec on caliper bolts?
any bedding in done to brakes yet? plain or fancy pads?
cleaned rotors with sandpaper before new pads?
