Not sure to what extent, but a friend just had his pads replaced and his rotors turned on his Ford Ranger all under the Factory warranty. Good luck, insist it is covered and you make luck out.

I was told they are under warrantee for up to 12k miles. How many miles do you have?

If you've got a '99, I seriously doubt your brake pads would be covered by warranty. If you need new pads, you might want to ask the forum about the metal master brake pad upgrade. Tim sells them, and they are probably cheaper through him than OEM pads through your dealer.

I got my 99 TL brake pads and rotors turned at 16k for free. Dealer said that it was warranty issue.

Acura always had problems with Pads and rotors on the TL... I was by my friends shop, he showed me on the official computer that lists all recalls and problems, but it only dated to '98 cars...the 3.2 and 2.5 TL had problems with premature wear on brakes and rotors..
