Brake lights stuck on. (Fixed)
Brake lights stuck on. (Fixed)
At work today I noticed that my brake lights were lit, while the car was off and parked. The covers were hot to the touch, so i pulled the fuse.
After some research, i found that there is a plastic.. thing that actually goes in between the switch and the brake arm that is meant to activate said switch.
I believe you can purchase the correct plastic... thing for around $3. Or if you are ingenious (read : cheap) like me.. you can super glue a nickel to the arm directly over the hole that previously supported said plastic thingy.
I know this thread has already been made, but i was proud of my super glue and spare change repair.

Yes kris its #4 happens on alot of cars mostly corollas and mid/late 90s civics and accords.
All depends on use the plastic gets brittle and just snaps. I deal with one of those once a month and charge $20 to put a nut and bolt in there.
