When I got home after tinting my car, I noticed the brake lights near the sub disconnected and hanging in the trunk... I put them back in their holder but I wonder why they were disconnected....

The back was tinted in one piece. Did the folks who tinted my car have to remove the speakers to do the back in one piece?

they most likely took the entire brake light/sub plastic assembly completely out so that they could tint near the bottom of the rear window... Did you have them tint over where the brake light is or did they cut around the brake light???

Yes, I had them tint the back without any cut outs... so that makes sense.
