"Brake" Led??

the "brake" led came on today when i start my car. Same led as the hand brake's. It went away after i drive for about 10 mins. Does that mean that my brake pads are running thin???

The car doesn't have a sensor for thin brake pads. They will just start to squeel.

My car has been doing the same thing. The only time it does it though is when it's cold, 45F and below.

Just to back up what's already been said.

If your parking brake is off and the brake light is still lit, it's your brake fluid level. I believe those are the only two items in that circuit.

If your brake fluid is topped off and the parking brake is off you can take a quick look near the top of the parking brake pedal to make sure the switch is operating correctly. If the switch appears to be working check the float in your brake reservoir cap it might be stuck or broken.

I'd say check your brake fluid first.

mine has done that since I got the car when it is cold outside. I guess if your brake fluid is slightly low (mine is) it will read lower till the fluid gets hot and expands. So just add some fluid or dont worry about it

check to see if the brake fluid is a littel low, and check the float on the Cap. Sometimes it sticks slightly and will trigger the light
