brake lamp light? or brake light?

the brake lamp light means one of your bulbs is out.

Check your connections..make sure the bulbs you replaced and whatnot are firmly in the socket..

EXACT same thing happened to me last week. I know this sounds juvinile but check to make sure all of your caps are closed, gas cap (happened to me), brake fluid cap (just recently), other fluids...I have actually taken my car to my mechanic to see what the problem is....he told me after plugging the computer in "go tighten your gas cap!!" done! boy did I feel like an idiot, so the next time it happened I checked the gas cap, obviously, it was tight. I opened the engine to checked the fluid levels and notice the brake fluid cap is really tricky to put on. I did a rotor swap a month back and a friend put the cap back on the brake fluid and I guess didn't put it on properly, it took me about 3-4 min , with good light, to get it back on. It has a few wires connected to the cap and the cap only turns a half a turn, so it seems easy to put on and not know it is closed properly. Anyway, long story short, that light will come on for little stuff like this so check every little thing you have done recently to the car, oil change, brake job, trannie fluid, power steering fluid....etc...

If it is the "Brake" light, that will come on if you (a) have the parking brake on, or (b) you don't have enough brake fluid in the reservoir

If it is the "Brake Lamp" light, that will come on if you have a brake bulb out (four in back, two in center brake lamp).

I just check it last night and when i pull out the light socket( the bulb i replace it couple weeks ago ) by the time i pull the socket out, the bulb felt out into the tail light housen :banghead: took me over 30 mins to get the bulb back out, and after i got the bulb back out and put the bulb back in the socket i notice that i didn't push the bulb all the way back when i replace it back then, so now it is all good to go.....thanQ for all yall coment and help you guy are really helpful "thumbs up to you guy "
