Brake Lamp?

My brake lamp is on while I start the engine and step on the brake.. but once u turn off the engine, it's normal again as long as u don't step on the brake...
however, it's not the bulb problem 'coz I replace another bulb and it is still the same... any idea what I should do? Take it to the dealer?
Thanks!

okay... the easiest way to say this is... all the bulbs r working properly... and nothing will happen as long as u don't step on the brake... but once u step on it... the "Brake Lamp" indicator is on... and then I think one of the bulb won't work...
I am assuming it's the problem of wire or something... but if u turn off the engine and restart again without stepping on break, the indicator is off. But if u step on the brake, the indicator is on and the bulb will only be on for that particular once...

I guarantee you that you have a bad bulb somewhere. Try checking your brake lamps with your lights on. Since they are dual filament bulbs, it may seem like they're all working, but in actuality one may be a little dimmer.

As for the warning light not turning on until you step on the brake, that's normal. The voltage fluctuation is what causes the light to go on and the only way that can happen is to step on the brake. By shutting the car off, you're just resetting the lamp.

Try have some one step on the brake while you are at the rear of the car.... 1 or more of the 4 braking light bulbs must have burn out the secondary filement....

Same here....My brake lamp is also on....and after I replace a light bulb for a while...it comes on again...and no light bulb is damage , but one of the brake light just not working. and after I install and reinstall many times and make sure all the connection is correct...and it works again and no brake lamp light is off~
