brake help!!!!

okay so im changing the rear pads and rotors as im already done with the front and the whole operation went smooth, but now the rear pads for some reason dont fit. I mean the pads are the right size but after i pushed the piston in the other half of the caliper that needs to squeeze in to allow the outer pad fit wont close enough to allow enough clearence for the new pad to slide over the rotor. help me please if anyone knows whats going on. is my caliper siezed or am i doing something wrong?

I have just changed my rear pads and rotors without having issues. Do you know how much more clearence is required for the new pads to slide into the caliper? If it was less than an inch, you could probably squeeze the caliper a little more.

Just my $0.02.

The pads fit in the caliper with no problem. Its sliding the caliper over the new rotor, it seems the part of the rotor facing the outside of the car needs to squeeze in just about a 1/4 inch more to allow clearence for the caliper to slide on. I believe the two bolts on the side of the caliper (with the little boots) themselves are seized because they wont close enough to allow the clearence I need. Does anyone understand what Im trying to explain? Im being as descripitive as I can be, can any one help please!!!

Pull the Rubber boots and bolts that go thru the rubber boot and get some brake grease and lube them. Make sure they slide smoothly. If they arent moving smoothly they will need to be taken out and cleaned greased. those pins just slide out.
