Bosch windshield wipers

Replaced wipers with Bosch ICON wipers on '03TL. Excellent multiple reviews. Noticed the passenger side wiper blade in the resting position on the side nearest the dorr for about an inch doesn't touch the window. I have the 19A wiperblades and noticed there are 19B blades also. Apparently the "B" designation blades have higher tension. Anyone try the "B" blades on their cars? Seems to make sense to at least use that one on the passenger side and maybe it would contact the window for that inch.

I wouldn`t worry about it to much, my rain x latitudes come slightly off the windshield when sitting but cover the windshield when being used. I thought it was odd and the problem was with the arm itself.

Thanks for reply. My last set of Bosch was the "lower less expensive" ones and they did fully contact the window in rest position so that is really what prompted my concern, but these will probably work.

I just bought some for my 2000 TL and noticed the same thing. I used them for the first time last night and they're great. They get the whole windshield and only hover like that while in resting position.

I have been using Oem wipers with rainx solution in the reservoir. They have been working fine in the pnw but might consider Bosch. I just don't like the way they look

Like anything else the appearance "grows" on you. Many high end cars now have thei look. Something like the last few years of TL's. Still don't like the body style compared to the Gen 2.

Oh, that's the notorious "Floating Wiper of Timing Belt Failure", Better known as FWTBF to all the Acura Technicians. I would sell your car. To me. Cheaply.

Or it could be absolutely nothing... but why take that chance?

To the non-techs what is FWTBF? Sell the car if I win lotto. In fact in that scenario would get a new car as soon as first set of wipers failed.

Lol. Sorry, I was just kidding around.

Sometimes I forget that it's hard to tell when someone is being sarcastic when you read it.

We seriously need a sarcastic font or something.

I recently revisited Autozone after purchasing the Bosch Icon wiper blades a few weeks ago and asked about the passenger side wiper as well. Its completely normal, the passenger side wiper blade will never completely touch the glass in the resting position due to its curvature, but once the blades are operating and moving across the glass they will conform to the surface. They are great wiper blades.

For what it's worth, the 19B blade is the correct blade for the passenger side. The B is designed to work on the more curved portion of the windshield. If a parts guy sold it to you, take it back and make him give you the correct one. If you picked it out yourself, don't worry about it.

You are right. Even though both the "A" and "B" don't touch at the very end in the resting position on the passenger side, it works very well.

I use shorter than stock blades,,the Icons with all rubber-no metal showing on arm, and built in aero spoilers
the A and B depend on which way the blade wipes/position on glass, so it stays down better at speed in operation, and serves as a nice aero kick up and over the glass and down the roofline when at rest.
amazingly- the right wipers can increase mileage!

Do you happen to have a part number or link to them?
