Bored - calculated warranty work

I was bored so I went through all my service invoices for my TL for the past year, and used a parts catalogue to calculate the cost I would have had to pay without a warranty.

Here's the break down:

Passenger airbag: $995.00
Bose Equalizer: $354.25
Bose speakers: $84.80 x4
Bose Amp: $88.63
LF Window Reg: $143.32
Dash pad: $515.97
Brake pads: $50.00 x2
Leather seat bottom: $327.88 x2
Steering column covers: $13.65 x4
Headunit: $842.60
F Eng mount: $91.00
S eng mount: $57.00
Rotors: $118.00

Total: Approx. $4,500

Hondaacuraworld, an official vendor on the forum, ran my VIN and said he'd never seen an Acura have so much warranty work in one year. That total does not include the transmission and PCM that was also replaced. I guess my TL was built on a Friday at 4:30pm, but now that all that's been done it's pretty much perfect.

If you're still bored, can you run down how you found those problems. Like my BOSE sounds ok, but I could always use new stuff done under the warranty.

I've only had one tranny replaced, the driver's seat bottom cover and cupholder door.

Okay - all the problems were legit.

The dash was obviously warped, this is a common problem. It and the passenger airbag were replaced together because the passenger airbag cover was also warped and it's a one-piece unit.

The headunit jammed, another common problem.

The Bose system, when the car was cold, crackled and sounded distorted. The dealer (Nalley) threw parts at it, first replacing the amp, then equalizer - neither of which solved the problem. Finally, they replaced all speakers and it fixed it.

The driver's side window kept popping as it went up or down, so they replaced the window regulator

The rotors were resurfaced and pads replaced once, then the rotors and pads were both replaced a second time for warpage.

The plastic casing around the steering column were replaced once at Nalley because they separated, but Nalley didn't install them properly (go figure) and Ed Voyles replaced them a second time.

Nalley damaged the driver's leather seat bottom and replaced it. The passenger one was replaced later due to "excessive" wear at Ed Voyles.

The Front and Side engine mounts were replaced with the transmission. However, it still sounds like one is broken so it has to go back.
