bmw328is killer
yes thats right, the ol 97 TL spamked a 328is today on the way home from work........i was on the 95south, in between b-more n dc, and her cuts me of this 96-98 328is....all 18 inch rimmed up n sh$T.....ofcourse he had to pay, i was a little leary at first.........being as though i was going 70, and my service light is yellow...but how could I let this happen on a friday night.............so being the rice luva i am, i dropped the so-called manumatic into d3, slowed down till like 65, AND FLOORED IT........oh god did she start screamin!!!and flyin...the 328is was kinda flustered and could not get himself together all that swiftly....this was just enough for the ol'TL long body to sail by, i even honked, as he was flooring it.....THE ULTIMATE DRIVING MACHINE MY ASS.........that'll teach him to disrespect

Nice! Do yo have the 3.2? Any mods? The reason I ask is cuz the 328's are pretty fast and I have a hard time with them at high speeds. These freakin German cars sure accelerate fast once they hit 60+.

TO CLARIFY i HAVE A HEAVENLY MASSAGED 5 CYLINDER.....turbo charger from an accord, exhaust, intake, and a spiral max turbo chrager that is in the back of sport compact, for 69.99(this shit works!!!).....so my 5cylinder CAN EASILY TREAD INTO V6 3.2 TERRITORY...........remember the 328 and 528 share the same 6, 189hp, but get a good start, because they are full of surprises once they hit 65mph or above

But then again, German cars were never quick from 0-60 but 60 +. On the Autobahn and other roads they really need the power to accelerate and pass slower cars or whatever.
So we all have to bow down when you see a bimmer run by...

i dont know about not quick to 0-60.....i was driving my brothers 540 6-speed last night and that thing is pretty damn quick. it'll even give a little chirp going into third. only problem is the damn speed limiter at 130.

I drove my wife's 540 pretty much all day today after dropping her off at her sister's. I was cruising 70 or so then I punched it...man this thing accelerates to 120 in a heartbeat. Not saying this cuz I own a 540, but the TL doesn't have a chance against this beast once on the highway. You may give it a run from standstill but once the 540 hits 3rd gear, it's GONE!
