Some newer cars with HID have a major blue tint- they are running 6500k or 8000k bulbs
When HID thats ok- but aftermarket bulbs like that are bogus
I worry- my hi beam bulbs are blue when off- and the reflector plate behind them makes it look like ~ you know who~ with blues comming up on you~
I didnt notice the effect until everyone was suddenly nice on the freeway and giving way all the time- bonus!!
ahh No Sir-those lights- they were on the car when I bought it- same as that window tint- its not allowed- ooops I am sorry

Something is missing...my
There are actual color laws
even new cars come w/4300. Projectors can give an appearance that the light is blue but the beam is actually 4300k.
Howerver, cops don't carry around spectrometers either, so unless you are running 8000k or more, you will likely have NO problems.

6000K looks blue compared to the 3500 K halogens but if you were to put actual blue lights (especially LEDs) next to 6000K HIDs they would look white by comparison.
Cops can ticket you for the 10000K and up stuff but anything lower is fine, although 8000 is pushing it. As long as you don't have blue emergency lights; impersonating a cop has some serious fines and jail time. Also, if you're on the east coast, red emergency lights are reserved for police. In general, blue and/or red is bad to have anywhere on the front of a vehicle.
