I want to check it myself and there are no books avail...

Can someone tell me exactly how to get to the blower cage or whatever to check whatever the hell is making that noise?

It's a bzzzzzzz sound coming from the blower is what the dealer said.

I want to take a look see for myself but don't know how to get to it.

 

I saw a service manual for the 99TL on ebay a couple weeks ago. for around 20.00. you should consider getting it. I bought one and its saved me alot of $$

 

Three 8mm screws hold the blower assembly up there. Take em out and unplug the 2 pin connector and it basically falls out.

 

but, how do you get to the screws... are you talking about the glove compartment area... or outside with the hood up?

 

Under the dash... I see lots of ****... I'll have some fun now

 

Okay, it was the blower motor transistor shorting or a bearing in there...

They replaced it for $217 and I'm good to go now... no noise and it's wonderfully quiet and cool.

The part itself is like $140 or more so i just had them do it.

Call around dealers because my first quote was $375... and I get a car was : o ):ar15:
