Big Knock
I have a 1999 TL-P with 66k miles on it and when it has been sitting for a while, lets say over night, and you put it in reverse theres a big KNOCK. Its the normal noise the car makes when going into reverse only louder. After the first time it stops until I let the car sit for a few hours again. Any idea what this is? I posted this a while back in the TL forums but no one seemed to know so I posted it here to get everyones input. I am just afraid my tranny might be going

Totally normal. When was the last time you replaced the tranny fluid. Mine does the same thing (99 as well). Once the car warms up a bit, it's not as noticeable. After I do a tranny fluid change, it's even less noticeable.
