Best way to clean inside windows?

i was flipping through the manual and it suggested to try 1 part white vinegar to 10 parts water to remove the haze on the inside glass especially my front windshield. has anyone tried this and would there still be a vinegar smell with the 10 parts of water? cuz if so, then i aint having the inside of my car smelling like a bag of salt n vinegar chips (i hate that flavour). otherwise, what commercial products do you guys use that's streak-free and safe for tint?

I use just plain water and I do a few clean ups and done. I have yet to find a product that don't leave a film of some kind on the window no matter what they claim.
So use water and it works just fine.

i use eagle 20/20 glass cleaner...

spray & wipe with a regular towel first...

then spray & wipe with newspaper...

using newspaper will leave your glass streak-free...
and no, the ink will not bleed...

I have, tinted windows, and I just use Glass Plus. I prolly shouldn't but, I used it for over 5 years on my previous car that had tints, and the tints still looked brand new.

The newspaper is okay for tints? it won't scratch it right? Not that there's sharp edges or anything. Just wondering.

Use the Stoner Invisible Glass like others have said.
This is a great product for auto window cleaning you can get it at PEP BOYS/ Auto Zone & some other auto chains. Just read why its better than some others at the website www.invisibleglass.com
I use the old newspaper for the outside windows as well as the inside windshield. I use Bounty paper towels on the tinted windows. The Bounty Paper towels leave no lint like some other paper towel.

I use Gunk foaming Glass Cleaner ($2.99/ can) and crumpled newspaper (not colored or flyers). Certain chemicals in newsprint prevent streaks and prolong cleanliness of interior of glass. Make sure you wet the glass and the newspaper first or you'll scratch your tint film. I believe the film residue are fumes from all the vinyl inside the car. I try not to use paper towels as they leave lint that is visible when the sun shines on the glass. Household stuff like plain ol' Windex won't do the trick as they are not strong enough.

Newspaper is great for cleaning windows - the ink in the newspaper attracts dust and lint. Stoner does not recommend paper towels because they contain wetting agents that can smear on glass.

Best is to use the newspaper for the inital wipe off then follow up with a microfiber cloth (dry) to remove any residue

interesting...kept thinking why anyone would use newspaper cuz that aint gonna be absorbing anything since i always just wipe with 1 pass vs multiple applications. this time i'll follow up with a microfibre to dry it. thanks all.

Only use an AMONIA FREE glass cleaner on the insides. Amonia is know to change the color of the tint stips and damage it. Most all the stuff at the auto store is amonia free.
Don't use the turtle wax/armour all glass wipes; they SUCK and streak like hell.

Just because you didn't know about it doesn't mean it's crazy, it just mean you didn't know ****. Have you even try using newspaper before you start commenting on it? This method has been used by prof. detailing shops for many many years. You use newspaper because:
1) It's free if you do read the newspaper.
2) It's soft enought when you crumple it
3) it's lint free
4) It's free of detergents and fabric softeners
5) It's free of wetting agents that *most* paper towels have.
6) The newspapers shines the glass.

If you think newspaper is too old school or sounds getto, use microfiber cloths. Leave the paper towels in the kitchen where it belongs.

It's all about Marketing, buddy. Turtle wax/ Armor-All sometimes "repackages" products. Meaning they use the same product and package/ market it as another thing. Figuring if people didn't buy this, then they'd buy that. You can notice this by spending a little time at the aisle and comparing products. Sometimes it's one and the same thing.

Some things like newspaper are just from the old school. Also goes to show that you don't need to spend all the dough on some fancy-schmancy MF rag if there's lots of the good ol' NP waiting to be thrown out.

Proven effective throughout the years. Try it, you might like it.
