Best places to buy rebuilt transmission

Well last night I believe my fourth transmission blew up. Anyone know of a good place to get a tranny in northern CA? What about some good known places anywhere in US? Someone on here said that www.willowcreektransmissions.com is good? True? I see they sell on ebay under the name motha4427. Do you have to replace the pcm? It was replaced before when dealer was doing the work. Out of warranty so I'm probably doing this myself. I'm tired of this crap..........

I was looking at the one from willowcreek, ebay auction http://www.ebay.com/itm/2001-2002-20...item4ab1462bcf That's a CL, but they make them for TL according to their listing. Don't know what the difference would be though. 2 YR UNLIMITED mileage warranty.........

Would love to get comments from other forum users also. There has to be a lot of people out there that have bought and used these transmissions. If anyone could recommend a different shop to buy from, let us know.
Thanks.

With all the transmission problems happening on this site, nobody has ever bought one in the USA and installed one from this site or can recommend the best place to buy one from?

If you are truly committed to your car, find a friendly Acura dealer. Be pleasant and offer to spend your money in there sop if they can somewhat competitive vs. The Aamco,s in the area. They might surprise you and offer a good price with a decent Acura warranty. It costs nothing to ask. It worked for me last year. Good luck.

I think the key would be, wherever you get one, make sure it is a rebuild of the redesigned "improved" case. Just rebuilding the same transmission, it will have the same problem and end result as the first one.
