Best Leather Cleaner???

Hey,

My leather is in desperate need of cleaning/conditioning.
I have been slaving away studying for my series 7 and 55 exams and haven't had much time to maintain my TL. But after Monday, all my exams will be over and I will official become a registered representative for my brokerage firm.

But regardless, I was just wondering if anyone could suggest a good leather cleaner. I heard that ArmorAll works pretty well, but I wanted to get a second opinion.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Search for "Lexol" on the forum search engine and you'll find plenty of posts about leather care and cleaners (Lexol and others as well).

I got my Lexol products from O'Reilly's auto parts store.

I use Meguiar's Gold Class leather cleaner and conditioner. The parchment leather in my 2000 TL used to get dirty pretty quickly and this stuff cleaned ir right up with no drama. It didn't change the look or feel of the leather after several applications, either.

I've already conditioned the seats on my 2002 and it's working great. You can find this stuff at Target or Wal-Mart as well as any auto parts retailer. Give it a try!

Leather

I use Lexol pH, Lexol, and Vinylex. They all work well for me. Got all of them at Pep Boys.

Meguiars Medallion for Leather here. Used in on my '93 Vigor and after 8 years, the seats still looked new with no cracking.

Definitely Lexol is the best!

I vote for Lexol just like the other owners. Used Lexol products for years and had great experiences with it. Even the majority of the detail shops uses Lexol. Start treating your seats right away. The sooner the better. A+ rating for Lexol!!!!

Angry stronger cleaner

Anything stronger than Lexol or Mequires? I have some deep down dirt on the @@#!!$#@% crease that will not come clean.
I have tried both and it doesn't seem to work. Any ideas?

The Meguiars is a great product, especially the Gold Class. I use the Medallian leather cleaner and conditioner which is their high grade professional product and so far I've been extremely happy with it.

Hey Malibu try some saddle soap. That might work for you. My brother uses that stuff and swears by it. I have not tried it out but just a suggestion.

Those backseat stains just won't come out, eh? Try some elbow grease. That always does the trick.

Yeah, Lexol. My seats are buttery soft! Mmm Mmm.

By the way, don't forget to condition your seats as soon as you get your new car. It looks like Acura didn't put any protection on our seats or vinyl surfaces at all.

What about the Zaino leather cleaner and conditioner. Has anyone tried it. Is Lexol still better than that?

Given all the good things I hear in this forum about Zaino products, it seams like ZainoBros are god. I have abusiness background, and I can't understand why those guys aren't bigger or haven't expanded their distribution lines. Their website is pretty lame too. I guess they are a good example of a company with a poor management team. I would've been an ultra-millionaire if I were to run their business. From what I hear and seen, they have the best product in the market, beating the top competitors, which distribute their products through everybody, Pep Boys, Strauss Auto, etc.. Zaino's ordering process is by check and through the mail. Go figure.

Nontheless, tomorrow, I'm ordering one of everything, with the exception of a few items, I don't really need right now. It's going to cost me like $130 or so, but based on pictures I've seen, especially that supper glossy, Blue TLS I keep seeing, it'll be well worth it. Thanks for the input guys.

PS. Man I love this forum. You guys are great. I visited the CL Forum to promote the reverse indiglos and quickly noticed the difference in culture. Those guys are way childish and jibby jabba with little substance a lot of the time. Hey, I got nothing against those guys though, my guess is that the average age over there is a lot younger than ours. I used to be like that when I was their age, I guess. But at this stage, I appreciate this forum a lot more that that one, that's all.

PS2. I'm only 26 by the way, but I'm at the point where I can buy my own 02TLS, have my own three beadroom appartment and have other interests.....Well, girls are always a commond ground. :p

I used to use Meguiar's leather cleaner and conditioner but I switched to Lexol. Works great, and it doesn't make your seat all slippery like other ones do.
By the way, what's good for the dash?

I've heard great things about Lexol Vinylex for your dash. I have my bottles coming via UPS (there aren't any dealers around here). I'll post how well it works once I've used it.
