I also asked this same question a little while ago...most intake will do the same thing for you....if you want a more of a stock appearance you might want a comptech ice box intake. for the most part more people choose either the Injen or Aem either one of these will work fine for a resonable price. I went with the AEM V2 intake...it has a slightly wider pipe and I just liked the titanium look of it. Only problem with the AEM V2 is there is no bypass valve available for it so it can suck up water...but you'd need to be in almost a foot of water at least for that to happen. So just about any will do.

alright then, instead of starting a new thread i'll just rob this one!

I'm waiting on my AEM CAI and am trying to figure if theres a better HIGH FLOW AIR FILTER than the one that comes with it!

example... HKS high flow, K&N, or any other suggestions?

I think CT's has the safest with the least amount of noise and same power output. The other two are loud (good or bad depending on what you want). All can hydrolock the engine but I think CT's design works a little better (no real proof here). You can get a bypass of the other intakes but a couple members have had issues with it falling off (I gorget the piece) and one had it cause some serious issues. Now this are rear but something to think about. as said, do a search.

The Injen CAI is the best IMHO. Sounds GREAT! No reports of weld breakage either. Definitely the most bang for your buck......

The pipe comes in 2 peices allowing you to run it for cold-air or short-ram, whatever you feel most comfortable with. I am running both peices for cold-air.

There is no rumble at low speeds. You can barely hear it at low speeds. All you will hear is a very slight sucking/hissing noise from all the air being sucked up. It sounds pretty much stock at low RPM's.

When you gun it, that is a whole different story. The roar that comes is very, very sweet. And when the VTEC kicks in.......OMG!

Just get one. Doesn't really matter which type as long as it is a well known company. For the price though I went with Injen. BTW, it took me and a friend only 1.5 hours to install it.

Oh yeah, it takes about 50-60 miles for your computer to adjust to the new air-fuel mixtures. So expect your car to be a little sluggish when you first get it on. After it adjusts, you will definitely notice that your car is much more responsive.

yes, you can use a K&N filter inplace of the AEM filter. i dont know the part number, but quite a few people here have done it!
