Best Bay Area Body Shop???

Fellas,

Stupid a$$ lady ran a red and hit my car. I probably need a new hood, front bumper, corner panels and HID housing and/or lights

What is the best bay area body shop out there? I don't want to be lowballed by the insurance company, and I just want my car to be back to it's cool self.

Thanks guys.

dude...feel sorry for you man...
I guess you're alright though...so that's good.

I was just told a few shops here in Hayward is pretty good...

otherwise I would recommand a shop up in San Mateo, it's called Veracom...ran by a chinese couple...they do real decent job and price is fair too...

I dont know...all I know is that veracom is owned by 2 bros who took over the family business, my company buys a lot of cars from them like an M3 which my boss owns (sweet car) anyways yaah you could trust them with your car....I dont know if they do body shop work but I wouldnt be surprised...last time i was there they were working on a lamborghini(sorry if i misspeeled i am a little sleepy) so your car would be in great shape

hope this helps

the contach's been hanging up there for over a year now... oh so you're talking about the dealership? The dealership and the body shop are owned by different people.

Who could possibly the now the single best shop?

But, I had my TL-S rear-ended and the guys at B&S Hacienda in Livermore did a great job. Matched the WDP paint perfectly. They've also completely satisfied my wife when her S2000 was whacked.

They are a preferred State Farm shop, so I didn't need an adjuster or much paper work at all.

Investigate them at http://www.downtown2.com/livermore/s...ienda/home.htm

I understand that they also have a Pleasanton shop.

Maybe these are too far away for you. But I can personally recommend them.

You may try this:

Cal West Automobile, Sunnyvale - my 87 prelude was
repaired by them 10 years ago. Their work was quite
decent. Paint job is life time guarantee. I think their
boss is called Ken. My friend's Maxima was there before
3 yrs ago. They matched quite good metallic color.

Advantage Body Shop, Fremont - my colleague's integra
was repaired by them 2 yrs ago. Paint job seems very
decent and nice.

AutoBahn Body and Paint, Mountain View
(650-966-1840) - Never been there but was recommended
by the mechanic shop (Foreign Affair, Santa Clara)
where I used to take my Honda/Acura to. Maybe it's
worth to check it out.

Shops to avoid :
Los Gatos Acura - only heard bad & lousy things about them.

EMC, Fremont - well maybe just me, but they are quite of
slouppy (sp?) on repainting my Accord rear bumper and
they messed up the driver's side door panel. They dropped
some abrasive stuff there and relundant to replace them.

Hope it helps,

Wilchan, very informative thanks! I am in a stage to repaint my Explosion front bumper also. 3 of my friends recommanded me EMC in fremont tho, are they really not good? I am at Berkeley so if you know any good paintshop please let me know, my previous paint on the front bumper only lasted me a few days before it got terribly chipped. (YES i just bought this Explosion)

A good paint that can stand chipping, even when I am only gonna drive it when off school = )
